Book Title: The House
Author: Sebastiana Randone
Genre: Adult fairy tale,
regency romance, past-life romance, paranormal/fantasy, time-travel
ISBN: 978-1-4836-1371-0
ASIN: B00DAMPQ8Q
Number of pages: 148
Word Count: 50,000
The House is the tale of
a woman, who is so absorbed with historical novels that her own reality ceases to offer any
hope of romance and beauty.
One day this dreamy
idealist finds herself in a mysterious forest. How she arrived there is
unknown. She encounters a ramshackle house, wherein magical rooms that
transport to parallel worlds lay in wait.
She is transported to historical England, where she interacts with a
collection of character's whose dysfunctional lives become apparent
immediately.
The first tribulation
involves a nefarious lord, an archetypal embodiment of the monstrous creatures
that often haunt fairy tales. The ramification of this confrontation sets the
tone for the narrative.
Before long, the folly
of disdaining her mundane reality is realized, and she desires desperately to
return to her former predictable life.
A hidden portal finally
enables escape from the austere Georgian dwelling. She is spirited back to the
enigmatic house, where a journey to Regency London ensues. A large cast of
eccentric identities present themselves.
One day a handsome,
despondent poet arrives, following a period in Florence. His introduction to
the time traveler offers promise of restoration and love. But upon the face of
it, and much to his chagrin, this union cannot be consummated. There are a few
more obstacles ahead before her destiny in this strange adventure is made
apparent. In the end a past life connection starts to reveal itself. And like all good fairy tales, the ending is
pleasing, even though the means of getting there are dark and at times,
sinister.

1980’s.
Title: Room of Tears
Author: Linda Merlino
Pages: 160
The author narrates the story of Diane O'Connor in the year 2041, forty years after 9/11 attack, in conversation with Father Antonio Ortiz. When I started reading the chapter 1 of the book, I thought it has something to do with the supernatural or paranormal activities. Diane invites the Father home and hands over her diary written with pain and requests him to read. The Father remembers his journey of becoming a priest and his granny who motivated him. I liked the flow of the story and the theme on which Linda has written.
To the world, it appears that thousands of people lost their lives on 9/11 but this one incident changed Diane's life and her family.
Author Bio:
The author has a fascination with
heroes and writes her fiction to honor ordinary men and women who react
unselfishly in extraordinary circumstances. She extends her gratitude to
all who keep us safe and free.
Her hometown is outside of Boston . She lived
for many years in New York City and more
recently calls Connecticut
her home.

As a child at school, I was in love with geography. Not that I liked memorizing the latitudes and longitudes, I would dream of landing into the plane while the teacher taught the lesson. Given a chance to visit Himalayas or Antarctica, I would chose the latter to travel along with my family as you need a human company, somebody I can share my excitement, in the lonely continent. I would come home and see this place, full of "white", in my Atlas. When I asked my father why it was all white and no green like Amazon or brown like deserts, he would reply, "Its all snow, there is no human vegetation, only penguins live there. Its dead cold." This would cheer me to dream of visiting Antarctica and see the home for penguins.
One can travel to Antarctica by flight or cruise. I would chose the cruise one way as in the titanic hoping that it wouldn't sink midway and flight the other way or vis-a-vis.
On reaching the shores of Antarctica, it is bliss to watch the sunrise and later walk on the glacier hand in hand with the loved ones, until my legs ache. It would be hard to tolerate the shrill weather and eyes getting adjusted but it is a lifetime experience seeing all "white" and playing with the snowballs with no humans around. I shall be without words to appreciate the serene beauty of it which god has created.
I would wait till the evening to see the penguin parade slowly from the shore to their borrows, flapping their feathers(?) or hands(?) and holding the fish in their beak. What a lovely sight that is, If only penguins would "shake hand" with me! Anyone would be as merry as watching the movie "Happy Feet".
When the sun is up in the sky, we shall ski down the snow. The only adventure which we can try out. ;)
When it is the time to get back home, I would miss bringing back souvenirs, key chains or postcards like I do every time I trip. This will be the only trip filled with memories and photographs.
I would be happy if you can fund a little for this trip. :)

Salaam sir, he saluted reluctantly as his boss's car entered the huge gate at the first day of his job.
He remembered the days of glory when he drove big cars and others welcomed him with a Namaste. A signature, the bond of surety he made, trusting a friend was the lesson of his lifetime.

The day I touched and held you, you have shown the world. In love with your beauty, I bow to the one who made you!

Thankfully, those who created me gave less strength, I can rest when I want to. Hope they never find a medicine for this and I can enjoy my sweet nap.

I received the August 2013 Vellvette Bag on the last day of the month. The bag is the same as the pink colored one in one of the previous subscriptions. I like the June's pink bag than the black.
The Contents in the bag:
I have used only the lip gloss which is nude. I would prefer a colored one instead.
Overall, I am quiet unhappy with the lip gloss and the cream. The products would have been carefully chosen.
The Contents in the bag:
- H20+ Sea Results Deep Sleep Recovery Cream. (In the bag, sample not to be sold. Full size Rs 3,200 for 50g)
- Sally Hansen Lip Plumper - Sheer Bare (in the box --> Full size Rs 775 for 6 ml)
- I Love... Coconut and Cream (in the box 100ml. Full size Rs 795 for 500 ml, Rs 250 for 100 ml)
I have used only the lip gloss which is nude. I would prefer a colored one instead.

Name of Book: Soul in Present Condition
Author: Mary E Merrell
This is the first time I chose to read a book on the paranormal activity by the author Mary E. Marrell. The story starts with the real estate agent Rosemary Fernandes who could communicate to the ghosts in the houses, where she takes her clients. The story also reveals about the vampires and she being a human servant to her vampire boss, Marcus. His blood had made her look younger than she was.
Rosemary's gifted way of communicating to the ghosts had helped them resolve their problems. However, she has to tackle with the vampires, Lucila & her friend, Abel, who wants to make Marcus jealous ever since he hired Rosemary.
The characters are pleasant, the the pace at which the story is told is well maintained. But I felt there is a dependency on the previous two novels,House Haunting and Curve Appeal.
Author Info
Mary E. Merrell writes Paranormal Mysteries and Young Adult Urban Fantasy. She has worked many jobs, but always had stories in her head. It wasn’t until she went into real estate and walked into that old, vacant home that The Real Estate Paranormal Mystery Series came to life. Fortunately, nothing spooky happened at the furniture store, or the first book might have been, “The Haunted Sofa."
Mary E. Merrell’s plots are smooth and slightly dark, and her characters sinfully sweet. Try a little guilty pleasure with House Haunting, the first book in The Real Estate Paranormal Mystery Series. One reviewer called it “A good start to a new series.”
Her Young Adult series, Affinity is also humorous but deals with very real life themes. A reviewer said, “Love it. So different. A fun read.”
Mary E. Merrell lives in the Central Valley of California with her husband, two dogs, and five cats. She has two grown sons. When she’s not writing, she’s gardening or playing soccer.

Title: Corr Syl The Warrior.
Author: Garry Rogers
Core Syl is a fictional story of a warrior rabbit. The story is well narrated and as it goes on, it turns out to be very interesting. It is amazing to learn how the animals think, though we cannot understand. Corr is assigned a task to investigate the intrusion caused by humans called Danog and advise the action, which he fulfills.

Author Bio
Dr. Garry Rogers (website) has a PhD in Physical Geography. He taught university courses in climatology, ecology, environmental science, geomorphology, and soils, and conducted research on landscape change in the deserts of the western U. S. and on the Atlantic coastal plain. His books, articles, and blog posts focus on environmental problems. Nature conservation is the underlying theme for his debut novel, "Corr Syl the Warrior."
Author: Garry Rogers
I had the same excitement reading this book as I had watching The animated movie Happy Feet. The book sets a message to save the environment which has been destructed by us. The book can be recommended to all age groups but depends on individual choice.
If you loved watching Happy Feet, you would enjoy this book as well.

At the stroke of midnight, she was now free like a parrot out of the cage. Her sons and daughters had fought and sacrificed their lives. People remember this day and narrate the stories of the brave men and women to their sons and daughters, who would have the same courage and drive.

It is hard to find good friends and when you find one, its equally important to maintain friendship. Friendship blossoms as young when we are kids in school, neighbors or even cousins. Though, I don't have any siblings, this special friend at school turned out to be my soul sister!
I had a close friend during my high school days. I had a shoulder to lean while I faced tough times. She always stood beside me, when I needed her. She showed me the strenghts I possesed and that everyone had their own weakness. Even if I had a sister, she wouldn't have been as close as her.
