I was at the D.V.G Road during the weekend and my attention was caught by the crowd munching something from the paper plate, standing on the pavement in front of Mane HoLige.

Mane hoLige on DVG Road, Bangalore

HoLige is a traditional Karnataka sweet dish prepared during the festivals and special occasion. Though, yummy and mouth watering but takes efforts to prepare it. Mane hoLige, with a slogan "Live" hoLige, prepares the dish on spot in front of the customer and you will have the bisi bisi hoLige on your plate, relishing the dish.
Live hoLige making @Mane hoLige, DVG Road, Bangalore
Mane hoLige offers with myriad range of hoLige like beLe(dal) hoLige, kaayi(coconut) hoLige, kharjoora(dates) hoLige, kova hoLige, gul kandh hoLige and the list goes on. The beLe hoLige is priced at Rs 12 which is affordable for the quality and taste they offer. Moreover, the place is hygiene. I have tasted these and have never missed buying the hoLige each time I visit DVG Road. Apart from hoLige, nipattu, chakli, koDbaLe, kajjaya are sold and these are typical evening snacks which every local loves to savour.
Here is the pamphlet I collected from the shop during my first visit. They offer the catering services based on your need.

Debashis Sahu, a young energetic artist arrives in Mumbai hoping to make a career in the field of art. He is ambitious of building a school for Patachitra, an art form from Oriss and not keen on making money. His close friend from hometown lives in Mumbai and had promised to provide accommodation to Sahu. But Sahu realizes he realizes how people change their attitude once they arrive in big cities like Mumbai, after his friend's wife argues why they should be accommodating Sahu while they were not living a luxury life.

Sahu does not give easily and spends his time in Mumbai visiting the chai shop and befriends the servers, frequent visitors and shop owner. He overhears fellow customers saying that the cheapest accommodation one could find is at the red light area of Kamathipura, near railway station. With no ulterior motive, he visits the place for the sake of getting an accommodation.

Sahu accidentally meets Sheetal, who is a business woman and has an upper hand in the field of art. Many artists had achieved a high status and recognition through her. Though, she initially is fond of Sahu, she is disturbed of the fact that, he is a handicap, with disability of limping. Sheetal, impressed with Sahu's paintings launches him as a star and earns huge profit. Ritu aka Ritwabhadra Munshi, works at Sheetal's office and is a caring person unlike Sheetal who is ready to do anything for the sake of money and men!

Ritu, an appreciator of art, encourages Sahu in his work. Meanwhile, they fall in love with each other.  I will stop here and let you discover the rest of the story yourself and how the title is linked to this. :)

The author, Lalit, whose name, I confuse with Lalith with a "h" suffixed. What I liked about this book is the story line and the connectivity, continuity and the flow and of course, excellent vocabulary and and grammar.

Verdict 4.5/5

Hello everyone,

I have been using the Nioxin Hair System Kit for my long hair for a month and this post is continuation of my earlier post. The Nioxin Hair System Kit contains a pack of
1. Cleanser Shampoo
2. Scalp Revitalizer
3. Scalp Treatment

After attending Nioxin product launch program at BodyCraft, Koramangala where the professionals explained - how to use procedure, here is my take on the product on Hair System 5 for Medium to Coarse hair.

Step 1:

Unlike the traditional shampoos, at least the ones that I have used for my long hair, Nioxin Cleanser Shampoo, is transparent in color and produces less lather - a reason why I liked it. Rinse and wash your hair thoroughly.

Step 2:

Now, apply the Scalp Revitalizer, to the apply and the hair. Unlike the traditional conditioners which are applied only to the hair, Nioxin's approach is different in hair care.

Step 3:

Having conditioned the hair, now spray the Scalp Treatment to the the Scalp and gently rub the Scalp so that it evenly distributed.

You can either dry your hair with a towel or a hair dryer. For best results, you can blow dry or even straighten your hair. It would take a lot of time to perform the latter and my arm would ache, I prefer to dry my hair with the hair dryer.

I have been using the kit for 4 weeks, 2-3 times a week and I see that the hair fall has reduced. Not only the hair fall reduced, the volume has along increased and hair seems to be as light as a feather, though it is dense! Moreover, my hair has become soft and I see that the dandruff, which was a major problem has reduced a lot. 150ml is sufficient for 2-3 usages in a span of 4 weeks.

I strongly reckon this product who love to see voluminous hair and those would want to overcome the hair fall problem.

What do you do while you drive daily to work in the slow moving traffic or while you occupy window seat on the bus or local train, counting the taller buildings than the number of green trees. When you jog or run in the park, with the ear phones so tightly plugged into your ears and the high tempo beats outstanding the silence.

Music and dance have always been rejuvenating and relaxes the mind and the body when you dance or sing, no matter how bad you're at it. Step 1, step 2... shake your hands and toes on the floor and never miss the beat.

Few years ago, my Telugu speaking friends introduced the songs from Aarya-2, Mr Perfect and Ringa Ringa, which have been huge hits of all times. No matter you watch a Telugu dance show or an orchestra at a wedding, people who don't understand the lyrics, dance at his tune.

I am blogging for #MaxFreshMove activity at BlogAdda.com. Are you?
Shanka Pola Bangles are of "High" importance in the Hindu Bengali Wedding. They signify the marital status of a Bengali woman.

Shanka means Conch Shell and Pola means red coral. SHANKA bangles are beautifully carved and are available with gold designs. While, Pola, also pronounce, Paula, are the red corals bangles but due to the ban on the Coral species, the red plastic bangles are being used as substitute. Pola bangles are also available with gold designs.

These are the pair of Shanka Pola Bangles my friend bought all the way from Kolkata. The Shanka Pola Bangles are purchased from local shop and are made of plastic. They have the beautifully engraved peacock. Bengali jewelerry have intrinsic designs which draws everyone's attention.

I was in Kolhapuri during VaraMahaLakshmi festival, which is celebrated in a great grandeur in South India. It is believed that you would never suffer from lack of wealth, or fame, when you worship the goddess with utmost devotion.I consider myself lucky to have visited the Goddess on this auspicious day. The moment you hear Kolhapur, the first thing which passes your mind are the elegant Kolhapuri chappals or footwear, followed by the traditional Thushi, traditional necklace worn by every Mararashtrian women.Thushi is mainly from goldsmith from Kolhapur.

Kolhapuri Thushi with pearl and corals along with Pearl Earrings

Gifted by my dad 15 years ago. Have preserved this carefully.

If you're visiting Kolhapur, then never forget to gift yourself and loved ones, the traditional Thushi, which are available in large variety of designs. Thushi consists of small golden colorl beads, with a pink dollar or with pearls and corals. The golden beads with black beads are worn by married women.

I bought four Thushi's for myself and matching earrings during my last visit to Kolhapur. Care should be taken not to spray perfume, deodorant or water since the golden color may vanish.

I had a privilege to attend to attend the first Blogadda bloggers meet for #NioxinNowInIndia hair care products. It was on Saturday noon at BodyCraft Spa and Salon, Koramangala. I was at Bodycraft, for the first time, at 11.40 AM and got a chance to meet Harish Krishnan and Ankita Baneerjee from Blogadda.

With Bloggers before the event

We were given a hearty welcome by Spa which was followed by a Salon tour which had a separate compartment for Nioxin products. As soon as you enter, you would feel relaxed and stress free.

Daisy took us, the twelve bloggers, into a room where all the bloggers introduced themselves and the event kicked off explaining what Nioxin is all about. Daisy explained, Nioxin was found in the US by Eva Graham, who experience hair thinning post child birth. Eva searched many products in the stores for a product that would reduce the hair fall but she was disappointed to see that most products were for men and could not find a single product which treated hair like skin. Eva went on to establish the most successful hair care brand in the US, Nioxin.

Daisy from Wella

Daisy went on to explain, the product and the types of thinning. Nioxin, provides the skin care to hair. Just the way, we cleanse, apply toner and the moisturizer. Nioxin follows the same step. There are 6 type of treatment based on the type of hair fall. Mine was 5.

After the presentation, it was time for hair consultation which required us to answer question and a hand held device, (forgot the device name) was used to show us the condition of the scalp.

The first step was application of Nioxin Scalp Renew and massage the scalp and then wait for ten minutes. The ScalpRenew Dermabrasion Treatment is available only at the Salons and not sold separately.
Second step was to cleanse the hair and the third step was applying Revitalizer, in other words, conditioner. A neat and thorough hair wash and then the Scalp Treatment was applied to the scalp. This was followed by blow drying. My wavy knee length hair was so smooth, silky and light like a bird's feather.

The event concluded by providing the Nioxin Hair System Kit which includes
1. Cleanser - 150 ml
2. Scalp Revitalizer
3. Scalp Treatment.

I will be using these and shall post my review soon.

The cost of Nioxin hair treatment at Bodycraft, for long hair is Rs 4,000. But its worth the price.

This is my make over after sitting for long hours at the spa. I had always feared to leave my hair without braiding. But my hair felt soooo good. :)

Mothers are special gifts God has created. They have great patience and ability to make their children happy at the risk of making any sacrifice. Right from the time I was in her womb and till now, she has been a great mentor, a friend and a guide. I, sometimes, wonder how much patience she has to tolerate somethings. How much stress she handles with ease, with a smile on her face; without letting any of family members down.

While I was at school and college, she would help me with my homework, make sure I was well prepared for the exams and did not forget to take hall ticket along, pens were filled with ink, I arrive the exam hall without any tension, eat & sleep well the day before the exam. She would even skip going to family functions and stop watching TV, since it would disturb me. If I stayed awake for long time, she would accompany me so that I don't get bored studying alone. She would console me if I did not do the exam well. She prayed to the almighty that I score well in my exams and always wanted to see her daughter happy.

As I completed my engineering and begun to work, she would ensure, I eat regularly on time, never skip the food due to work.
She would call me at regular intervals to ensure that I am not overloaded with work nor worry too much about it.

In 2011, it was the first time I lived away from my family, 5,585 miles down under, in a continent country, she would constantly worry if I was safe, if I had adjusted to the new lifestyle, if I was fit and healthy in such harsh climate where the temperature would drop to 1 degree. She would listen to me with patience while I spoke to her for long hours while I described how clean the city was and my excitement seeing the trams, which would run for free, without having to buy any ticket.

She has been a pillar of strength, when father passed away. Though, it is hard to overcome the sadness and emotions losing a life partner to whom you've been bonded for past forty four years.

Mom, you have always been my idol and bestie. Being a woman, we face hardships in life and patience is most important. I am confident, I would overcome the hurdles of any size when you're with me.

I’m blogging about why my mother needs to de-stress with a Parachute Advansed Aromatherapy Oil massage for the #StressFreeMom activity at BlogAdda.
After the advent of the smart phones, people of all ages prefer looking at mobile phones every now and then to check the time, than looking at their watches. In fact, people no longer buy or wear the wrist watch.
Fossil Ceramic watch

Fossil Ceramic watch
I have a huge collection of wrist watches ranging from all brands, leather, stainless steel or ceramic watch. Fossil 10 ATM is my first ceramic watch which I bought 3 years ago when the price of ceramic watch was high and these watches were introductory. I preferred this watch as it doesn't require to change strap unlike the leather ones, doesn't leave patch on the skin but delicate to handle. If you drop it, then you break it.

I have been using the Colorbar Ultimate Mousse Foundation Cafe Misto 002 for more than a month and chose to buy this product from Colorbar though the brand has made its entry in India, few years ago.

Price: Rs 725

Weight: 15 grams
