Hello from Sydney. Yes, the vivid Sydney, the famous Opera House, Darling Harbour, just not limited to beautiful bays and beaches.

Here's a photo is Opera House and Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay.

I have always been comparing Sydney with Mumbai. Both cities have similarities that you wouldn't deny to disagree upon. Whilst I did compare Melbourne and Mysore(now called Mysuru) had so much common in terms of calmness and cleanliness, art and music. I was always excited to board Melbourne's City Circle tram.

It would be unfair not to mention, I still have the same excitement for the ferries here in Sydney, the way it was for the trams.
The first time I found Made in Australia product was the cosmetic brand, Face of Australia. I bought a liquid eyeliner from this brand for as low as AUD 8.85 from Priceline, probably the only brand and the ONLY local brand which sells at an affordable cost while compared to others.

The liquid eyeliner weighs 3ml or 0.25 fl oz. I liked the design of the eyeliner bottle. The long lid allows me to hold it easy and draw the apply the liquid easily. I have used many eyeliners which have small lids and it is quite difficult to hold.

Pros:
The first thing I loved is the long thin brush and the nozzle gives an excellent finishing, be it thick or thin.
Does not cause any irritation. Lasts long until you wash your face or eyes.
Easy to apply very thin lines.

Has a friendly "Price" tag

Cons:
I didn't find any drawbacks.

Rating: 4.5/5

Most of us haven't heard of the brand, Models Prefer, which is available in the Priceline chain of retail across Australia. During my last visit to Melbourne, I bought this Makeup palette from Priceline, which was running an offer, as low as AUD 4, that's $ 4. I was so happy to see the kit which comes with two face powders, three brushes and four eye shadows

Overall, I am happy with the kit which comes along with three brushes. :)

Every child is fascinated to watch the cartoons and why not they bring so much creativity in them. Especially when you listen to the animals converse with each other, share happiness and sadness, emotions unlike, we, human beings. Amidst all the animals in the forest, so called Jungle, the word also adopted by English dictionary, there is a brave boy who has been brought by the animals and firmly believes they are his parents. After watching the Jungle Book, when I would go out for walks or see other animals on the street, I would think, why these animals aren't talking like us, just like the ones with Mowgli. Mowgli must be a special boy that the converse with him alone and we are just ordinary that they talk to each other in coded language and share secrets to themselves.

The bonding shown between the naughty boy, Mowgli and his relationship the animals  is tremendous. Bhalu, the bear, was another character which I admired due to its honesty. Sher Khan, the tiger would always challenge the young boy but also teach him the survival methods. The older, the wiser you're to advise the young. I always loved and even love the title song "Jungle jungle paTa Chala hain, chadi pehenke phool khila hain.." As a child, I had the same addiction to Jungle Book, the way the kids these days are crazy to watch Chota Bheem! My Sunday mornings were spent right in front of the TV without even brushing the teeth and my mother would always scold. Even during the clash tests and exams, Jungle Book were a part of study time and I would obviously receive extra scoldings, "Are they going to ask what you watched on TV yesterday? Better focus and study." But watching Mowgli's adventures with his so called loyal wooden weapon, "Boomerang", that would return to him, no matter how far he was, was always astonishing. I would also wonder how Mowgli survived the varying climatic conditions of the forest without any clothes.

Best thing I loved was the boomerang and my father would say that the boomerangs were available only in Australia and it is Australia's souvenir. Fortunately, Australia is the first foreign land I stepped and always reminds of Mowgli's Boomerang. Every time I noticed a boomerang, the song would play on my mind, "jungle jungle pata chala hain.."

I’m blogging about #MyMowgliMemory at BlogAdda
"Every man's memory is his private literature". ~Aldous Huxley

The good memories bring happiness and the best smile and bad memories bring us tears and agony! But all of us want to erase the so called unhappy ones and remember only those which make us cheerful.

During the vacations, all the three of us, mom, dad and me would travel together. If mom decided to stay home, dad and I would go around. I was always surprised by his stamina that he did not get tired inspite of walking long distances and how I wish I would be as strong as him. Though he is no more today, the best memories spent during good times, haunt, when a person is missing and their absence felt is immeasurable and indeed painful.

Like they say, Marriage is all about "Two imperfect people to make a perfect living", loads of compromises and adjustments come in each others path. And that's what life is about? It's not just women who have been compromising and sacrificing their dreams and wishes, its now the time, women demand from their better half and many men convince their partners accomplishing the tough task.

If I had to demand, then I would ask him to be patient and calm without freaking out, while I shop online or shop outside. There isn't any stress buster like shopping to women, as boozing for men. We love to spend monies on the best after examining a few shops and brands; just the way you guys would love to chose the best women after meeting many. Its as synonymous as that but you never catch the gist.

I love morning filter coffee and I would be more than happy if you prepare coffee in the morning. I would never ask for Starbucks coffee if you prepare a filter coffee everyday.

I have been a regular subscriber of My Envy Box and I like their box contents. My Envy Box has launched Designer Jewelry Box in association with NIMAI. I ordered the Jewelry Box 1 month subscription for Rs 2,450 and received 3 statement pieces as they promised while placing an order.

My Envy Box provides 4 types of subscription
  • Designer Jewelry Box - 1 Month - Rs 2,450
  • Designer Jewelry Box - 3 Months - Rs 7,050
  • Designer Jewelry Box - 6 Months - Rs 13,800
  • Designer Jewelry Box - 1 Year - Rs 26,400
I loved the velvet box which I can use as a jewelry box. It is spacious and big.

The jewelry was packed well along with the details of the box contents. The box has a huge mirror in case I forget to take a pocket mirror along with me.

What does my box contain?
  • Gold plated earring from Malleka - Rs 2,800
  • Neck piece from Dhora - Rs 2,500
  • Finger ring from Zariin - Rs 2,500

The products have a great finishing.

Overall, I am happy with the statement jewelry from My Envy Box and its worth a buy. :)

The fun filled Saturday started early unlike the lazy weekends. I woke up as usual as I get ready to office and hushed to reach Stoppers Stop by 8 am and spotted bunch of bloggers with their backpacks. The pickup was arranged by Indiblogger that arrived sharp 8. The code was scanned and we hopped on to the bus. It was a hearty welcome and each of us aboard was given a pack of biscuit and water bottle. I did not worry the dust since it was an AC bus. :)

We arrived Mango Mist resort, Jigni by 9 am, wore the bright yellow badge and headed to breakfast. I met few known bloggers and acquainted with others.

Anoop, commonly known as Zombie started intro stating the activities of the entire day, followed by Vineet's morning squatting exercise. Again followed by Flipkart personnel Prahlad's introduction.
While in the Pearl city, how would you miss shopping the pearls? It is always preferred to do ground work before you spend on pearls in an new city. Having collected a list of shops that sell authentic pearls - fresh water pearls, sea pearls and natural pearls, I decided to shop at Jagadamba Pearls, Parklane, Secunderabad. It is one of the oldest brands and they maintain the brand name.

Jagadamba Pearls

At Jagadamba Pearls, you can chose to by "loose" pearls which means you can go to your personal jeweler and ask him to design as per your choice. I chose to buy the fresh water pearl set with the gold plated pendant and was impressed by this button pearl set. Isn't it pretty?

The next choice was a combination of white, pink and light purple pearls without a pendant. I am fond of pink pearls.
Pearl Set

How would I ignore this simple bracelet made of button pearls?

I couldn't ignore this one, too. :D

Before billing, my attention was caught by these bangles and added to my shopping cart.

Jagadamba Pearls provides the customer, the pearl warranty card but remember that the warranty is only on pearls and not the gold plated jewelry.

Overall, I am happy shopping with Jagadamba and next time I wish to visit Mangtrai Jewellers well known for their couture jewelry.
Reena was an accomplished woman in early forties with a successful career graph and educational qualification from top universities. She was a simple and talented woman who always knew how to interact with the business and stakeholders. She had even lost the count of awards and appreciation she had received during the university courses and professional life. She had two beautiful daughters and loving husband that comprised her family. She was rather a perfect example on how she balanced between work and family devoting sufficient time and ignoring none.

Everything appeared to be moving smooth but something was bothering her that made her worry. It was comments from few of her co-workers, friends and family circle, about her looks and appearance. Though, she smiled and ignored while listening, she did take it to her heart.

During her twenties, she was slim, stunning woman and anyone would go ga-ga over her smile and beauty. As she married and took over family way, she gained pounds of weight post delivery. She devoted most of her time with her kids and responding to their needs and ran out of time dressing herself or spending time in gym. She no longer fit in the waist 28 trousers, had to wear ill fitting clothes and had a prominent double chin and grey hair.

"A pretty face and fine clothes do not make character." - Anonymous Proverb.

We are, often, impressed taken away by the beautiful things and those which look attractive. First impression is the best impression, is the most widely accepted statement. Though this statement holds good, we tend to ignore other important qualities, that a person posses. We are always judged on how we present ourselves, how well we talk, the best "brand" clothes we wear, the jewelry, hair groomed, the footwear and of course the perfect figure which most models maintain starving on health food. Its the physical beauty which most crave for even when it comes to decision making while choosing the soulmate, where one truly ignores to see the soulmate's quality. What one observes is the physical appearance which diminishes as we age. A better body shape, a pretty face and of course fine clothes and hair do, leave fine imprints during the first meet. Most people advise, the first meeting and the couple of meetings followed are judged upon how well you carry off yourself, how well you talk and "impress". Most of us worry, what to wear best on first date especially when it turns out to be arranged marriage.

If you are too modern, wear fitting jeans and T-shirt, then the girl does not fit into the family and might not do any household at all. "Din bhar bahar ghoomege aur kaam kaaj kuch na karegi". "She wouldn't even looks after her kids in future and would leave them at day care."

In addition, you you have short or colored hair, and spend time on make up and cosmetics, then, mind you, you are too stylish and spend hours grooming in front of the mirror, a beauty with no brains.
If you have piercing or a tattoo, then you are a total gone case, totally unacceptable material to the society which we live.
If you are traditional, wear a bindi, salwar kameez, a dozen bangle, braid your hair, then you are a typical homely girl, fit to stay at home and prefer to look after home. You are a naive, seedhi-saadhi ladki.
When someone mentions, that they are modern or looking for modern girl, I indulge in a deep thought, if they refer to the looks or refer to the modern thinking. However, most of them refer to the former. Most of us are scrutinized based on looks than the education, job, good qualities, hobbies or achievements. Sometimes, I end up with blunt questions which annoys others, "I see you have mentioned you are looking modern girl, what does the word 'modern' mean exactly to you?"

..and you obviously know what the usual answer is.
"Oh, according to you, if girl is posh, wears good clothes and presents well, she is considered to be modern and respectable and not based on other qualities?"

~silence~

People would never grow up and remain in 18th century thought process and would never be modern thinkers.

Nihar Naturals #IAmCapable survey conducted by Nielsen India reveals:
a. 69% of men agree that their judgement of women is based on their looks.

b. 64% of women agree that the judgments passed on them have affected their ability to reach their true potential.

c. 70%of women agree that majority of judgments on women are from family members or friends rather than strangers.

d. 72% of women agree that working women face more judgments on their looks or their clothes than housewives.

I am hopeful this situation changes but in a long run. It would takes decades or even centuries to change the mindset of people that has been uprooted since time immemorial.

“I’m breaking stereotypes based on appearance by sharing my experience for the #IAmCapable activity at BlogAdda in association with Nihar Naturals.”
