Google and its related sites were not accessible the yesterday, while the other pages including facebook or twitter were loading successfully. Google, gtalk, gmail, reader... were totally out of service to the BSNL broadband users. I could neither google to find out a solution for this. ;)
C:\>ping google.com

C:\>tracert google.com
Tracing route to google.com [64.95.64.197]

3 * * * Request timed out.
If you're a BSNL customer and facing the same issue, try this:
1. Go to 192.168.1.1; system info and chk the attenuation and SNR value.SNR should be about 12 it seems.
2. Then change ip address in the internet settings from automatic to manual.
Thanks to Suyog for providing the solution.

ReplyDeletebehot nainsafi hai.;)
ReplyDeleteI too am using bsnl. It creates a lot of problem sometimes.
ReplyDeleteReema, We face here a lot.
ReplyDeleteSneha, haan ji.
alice809, yep.
I guess if the problem was with google only and you were able to access the other websites, then checking the SNR ( signal to noise ratio ) doesn't make sense. If that would have been any problem with SNR, you won't be able to access any website.
ReplyDeleteAnyways, It seems like a DNS problem to me. :P
a day with out google would be a good story!
