Every man's memory is his private literature.

"Every man's memory is his private literature". ~Aldous Huxley

The good memories bring happiness and the best smile and bad memories bring us tears and agony! But all of us want to erase the so called unhappy ones and remember only those which make us cheerful.

During the vacations, all the three of us, mom, dad and me would travel together. If mom decided to stay home, dad and I would go around. I was always surprised by his stamina that he did not get tired inspite of walking long distances and how I wish I would be as strong as him. Though he is no more today, the best memories spent during good times, haunt, when a person is missing and their absence felt is immeasurable and indeed painful.

Sometimes, when dad preferred to stay back, mom and me would go and explore places. She has never denied she wouldn't come along and has been enthusiastic and finds out the places to see in and around whilst out visit. During our visit to Hyderabad, my mom was so energetic that we explored the twin cities, Hyderabad and Secunderabad. We planned to cover the most prominent places and started off as early as 8 am in the morning hiring an auto rickshaw to Badi Chowdi, the place famous for cotton dresses and sarees for affordable price and she bought 1-2 sarees for summer wear. We walked nearly two and noticed that most shops were crowded. We then made our way to the famous, Charminar, well known for the bangles. I am not a good bargainer but she would bargain and reduce the price by half and this way, we saved much money. After bangles shopping, we did enter the minar and grab the view of the city. Both of us were hungry and visited a nearby restaurant and I ate until my tummy was happy. Our next stop was Lumbini Garden famous for the standing Buddha in the middle of Hussain Sagar. We went for a boat ride and were amazed to learn how much man hours would have been spending in sculpting the gigantic rock into a magnificent monument. Then we headed to the beautiful Birla Mandir to say "hello" to Lord Balaji. An autowalla stopped half way and we ended up walking the hilly curvy roads which was tiring for mom, but still she did manage and did not give up. Having had a wondering darshan, we were back home and dozed off as our legs were aching. But this did not stop us from waking up at 6 the next morning to visit Ramoji Film City. :) One of the best moments I cherish with my mom and we did take loads of selfies together. :)
