Day out with FlipkartOutdoor

The fun filled Saturday started early unlike the lazy weekends. I woke up as usual as I get ready to office and hushed to reach Stoppers Stop by 8 am and spotted bunch of bloggers with their backpacks. The pickup was arranged by Indiblogger that arrived sharp 8. The code was scanned and we hopped on to the bus. It was a hearty welcome and each of us aboard was given a pack of biscuit and water bottle. I did not worry the dust since it was an AC bus. :)

We arrived Mango Mist resort, Jigni by 9 am, wore the bright yellow badge and headed to breakfast. I met few known bloggers and acquainted with others.

Anoop, commonly known as Zombie started intro stating the activities of the entire day, followed by Vineet's morning squatting exercise. Again followed by Flipkart personnel Prahlad's introduction.

We were then divided into groups and had to try out the products at the various stalls. I belonged to Team 6 along with Prashanth aka Payaniga, Dheeraj - Team G square, Nirav - Normal Tusker and the team's captain, Prateek Takker and others.

Coleman Outdoor Gear

Tents, folding chairs, lunch boxes, water bottles, bungee chords, torch and compass needle were on display. It was the first stall the team visited as the others were crowded and we made our way easily here.

Altec Lansing Speakers
What I noticed far off was "dancing" water fountain, on top of the speaker that amused me. Later I realized that they are the waterproof speakers! Altac Lansing provides water proof earphones which don't fall off your ears no matter how much you shake your head. Best worn during gym workouts or running.

Red Chief shoes

The wide range of leather shoes with biodegradable soles for men. I found they did not have anything for women. A pair of stilettos would've amused me. :P

The crowded stall

Sony Cameras

One of the best brands I'm a huge fan of since my childhood days. I own their products such as a Wakman and laptop and nothing beats Sony when it comes to multimedia. They have a range of cameras along with water proof that can be used under waters upto 10 meters and the video could be monitored on your smart phone. The do have mirror less DSLR camera and easy to carry point and shoot camera.

Samsung Gear S2 Classic Smartwatch

The Samsung S2 wearable watches had a lot of apps that could track your message, emails and everything what your phone does for you. They have apps to track your health too. I loved the design of the watch - round dial, ceramic finishing and leather strap. You have to scroll the dial to access apps and tap the screen to select the app. The watch looks trendy and stylish.

Polaroid Cube

The Polaroids unlike yester years, made a huge come back with a cute face. I appreciate the design and prototyping of these Polaroids. They support video shooting and have a range of accessories such as tripod and monkey...

Garmin fitness watch
By the time I reached Garmin stall, they were any watches/fitness bands left and I returned post 2 pm to find VivoActive watch that supports multiple activities tracking like Running, swimming, golf etc.. They can be worn all day and you can sync it with your phone.

Post lunch, winners were announced and prizes were distributed for tweets and activity winners.

I wanted to test Samsung Gear S2 watch and decided to wear it for sometime. It tracked the calories burnt, steps walked and heart rate.. and I won flipkart voucher for max calories burnt. :D

The event concluded with Paintball. I belonged to Team 3 and was Joker during the game. All I had to do was sit behind the rock whilst others shot and protected me. :D

Our team won 2nd place and I in turn won a Bungee Chord. I was so worried about my iPhone that I was reluctant to have it in my pocket and yeah, forgot to take the picture of the game.
Anoop explaining rules and regulations of Paintball.

All done, hopped onto bus and back home safe.

Thank you Indiblogger and FlipkartOutdoor for organizing this event. Hope to see many more coming soon.
